The Cars

We've re-created the liveries of 8 Porsche 908/3s from the early 70s - Have a look below!
#12 Gulf - Targa Florio, 1970
Jo Siffert and Brian Redman claimed pole and then took this to victory in the 1970 Targa, winning by over 90 seconds from the 2nd place car, the #40.
#4 Martini - Nurburgring 1000Km, 1971
The 3rd-placed car, driven by Gijs van Lennep and Helmut Marko (Yep, that Helmut Marko).#40 Gulf - Targa Florio,1970
Driven by Leo Kinnunen and Pedro Rodriguez. it took 2nd place, securing a Porsche 1-2 in that year's Targa.
#83 Montjuich - European Hillclimb Championship, 1973
Being based on the 909 Bergspyder, the 908/3 was perfectly adapted for hillclimbing duties. With Juan Fernandez at the helm, this car won its class that year.

#20 Salzburg - Targa Florio, 1970
Entered by the works-supported Porsche Austria team, this car Qualified 2nd, but recorded a DNF. Vic Elford and Hans Hermann drove.
#42 Reinhold Joest - Watkins Glen 6 Hrs - 1972
While the Joest Racing team as it is today wasn't established until 1978, this private entry, driven by Reinhold Joest himself and Mario Casoni, took fifth place overall.
#8 Martini - Targa Florio, 1971
The sole Martini entry in the 71 targa, driven by Porsche factory drivers Gerard Larrousse and Vic Elford. Qualified 4th, but didn’t finish.#3 Montjuich - Le Mans 24Hr, 1973
In a race dominated by Ferrari and Matra, Juan Fernandez, Bernard Cheneviere and Francisco Torredemer hung on to claim Fifth overall.
